# Read a receipt

> The report and its allocation, as recorded — and, on a reversed receipt, the reversal's own account.

The read answers what [the report](/api-reference/receipts/report) answered: the Receipt echoed and the allocation as it was recorded. A reversed Receipt reads back marked `reversed`, with `reversed_at` and the `reversal` block on it, and its allocation section empty — nothing stands settled by it any more.

The address is your own `reference`, not a Platform identifier: the report you made is the report you can ask about.

## Response

The allocation answer of [the report](/api-reference/receipts/report), unchanged — `quote_id` and `quoted_figure_agrees` included where the report named a quote, since the record it names never changes — and on a reversed Receipt:
