# Read one version

> One version by number, exactly as it was written. Every version stays readable forever.

One version, by its number — the address a caller uses when it must see the terms a Loan was issued under, not whatever is newest. Every version stays readable: a new version supersedes nothing that was.

## Path parameters

  The version, counting from 1. One that never existed is `404`.

## Response

The stored configuration at that version, with the `values` that version was written with — a later version does not reach it. `created_at` is the configuration's creation and is the same on every version — a new version does not move it.

Beside `values`, `effective` answers every field the frame declares with the value a Loan under this version takes, and whether it was `stated` or is the Platform's `default` — [as creation answers it](/api-reference/product-configurations/create#response). `values` is never filled in.
