# Correct the label

> Correct a client's label in place — the platform's only PATCH, and the only route that writes over a stored row.

The label is corrected in place: the Platform's one `PATCH`, and the only route anywhere that writes over a stored row. The body is the label alone — the identifier, the Tenancy and `created_at` cannot move — and the correction moves what [a re-registration](/api-reference/clients/register) is compared against.

## Path parameters

## Body

  The label as it must now read, at most 200 characters. `""`, `null` and an absent key are one refusal — a correction has no second field it could be about, so absence is not the ordinary case it is at registration.

## Response

`200` with the registration as it now reads. Correcting to the value already recorded is a `200` no-op.
